“I was pregnant with my third child. After having 2 c-sections I still wanted to try for an unmedicated vaginal birth. I knew I needed all the support I could get and that hiring a doula would give me a higher chance at succeeding. I met with Elyse and right away I felt a connection; she was exactly what I was missing from my birth plan and preparation. Elyse is a natural born doula. Her confidence and love for what she does is a godsend. She is knowledgeable and advocated for me in every way she possibly could. I am so grateful I had her support and would definitely choose her again.”

The day I found out I was pregnant with my second child I knew I needed to find support. I was attempting a VBAC and I needed someone to support me mentally and most importantly guide me through the process. I interviewed several Doulas but I did not feel as connected. The moment I spoke to Elyse I immediately connected with her vibe and knew she was the one.
She was always available to answer my many questions. She came from a place of spirituality which to me meant everything. She made me feel confident and helped me put me at ease when I needed it the most. She assured me that I was more than capable to deliver my baby Luna at my OWN time.
The day Luna decided to come earthside, Elyse was there for me. She came to my home and supported me throughout my 40+ hours of labor. I wanted to labor at home as much as possible and her being by my side made that possible! I felt safe and at ease. Elyse was able to connect with my family which made me feel happy because Laboring at home is such an intimate experience.
She helped my husband with different massage techniques to help me get through my contractions.
Overall, I can’t thank her enough for making my “at home birth” feel incredible and I felt nurtured.
I couldn’t do it without you!

“We are truly grateful to have had Elyse attend the birth of our first child! She provided compassionate, steadfast, and intuitive support throughout a long and difficult labor that began at home and transferred to a hospital. When she arrived at our home, her presence just felt right—she offered instinctive physical support and made us feel confident while also giving us the space we needed. She was so present for both of us the entire time. Navigating the hospital transfer could have been stressful and alarming, especially during the pandemic, but she was assured, strong, and optimistic. She is empowered and empowering—this work seems like her calling. It felt like she would stand by us through anything, even though we had only met her that day. The calm, grounded and emotionally authentic care she gave us in both environments was really essential to our beautiful, crazy birth experience.”

“I feel so fortunate and grateful to have Elyse. Elyse is a true goddess healer! The additional challenges due to COVID19 were made way easier with Elyse always making sure me & baby were going to be just fine. Meeting Elyse I felt an instant connection. Felt like I already knew her, we clicked so fast that’s when I knew I didn’t have to keep looking for a new doula. My first doula who is in Spain now recommended her to me and I will always be thankful. If you want a kind, present, free-spirited, bright, someone to listen to all your needs I highly recommend her. She always checks up on me even to this day! She would ft or text me every week for my third-trimester appointments to see how I and baby are doing, how I was feeling. She is so Loving and I really appreciate her so much she was amazing! During my labor and delivery. When my water broke she kept me calm and rushed to my house as soon as she could. I swear I had the best support team between her and my husband.”

Elyse was the perfect addition to our birth team! As a doula, she matched my energy in the weeks leading up to and the many hours of my labor and delivery.
She was thoughtful and patient when I was at my most vulnerable and made sure to check in with me often as my labor progressed.
Elyse also supported, guided, and encouraged my husband through the process and we felt very cared for.
Thank you, Elyse, for being there to help bring our baby girl Olive into the world.

God must be pleased with me because he allowed you to become a part of my life and the life of those most precious to me.
I have 4 sons. My first son was born in the hospital naturally. My second son was born in the hospital via C-section. Unnecessarily. Now don’t get me wrong, when an emergency arises hospitals are definitely needed and appreciated. However, pregnancy and childbirth are not emergencies. The most natural and amazing act that a woman’s body is capable of is nurturing and growing a person. I started doing some research on other options to give birth outside of the hospital.
Son #3 was born at home. It was an experience that I will always cherish. I felt like something was still missing though because there were moments when I felt like I couldn’t do it and I looked around and no one was there to reassure me.
Don’t get me wrong my fiancé was there but he worked overnight and the midwife said he could sleep so he did... right up until the baby’s head was crowning. It was a bit lonely. My 4th son, I was able to be with one of the midwives that attended my previous home birth (and I absolutely loved her @nurmidwifery )and she recommended a doula, Elyse. From the moment I met Elyse, I knew she was an integral part of my birth team. She was warm and open and shared intimate details of her experiences with me that solidified my faith in her motivations and ability to be a great birth worker and part of my growing family.
Elyse, you are truly one of a kind. Although I have four children, I never experienced birth the way you helped me to. You were always there when I opened my eyes after a surge or when I needed to use the bathroom or walk. When I started to have doubts it was as if you read my mind and began encouraging me with your words and your gestures. When I needed silence I didn’t have to say anything my silence was followed by your whispers to the others in the room. You truly are an angel and a blessing to have on my birth team. Any family would be lucky to have someone so dedicated and devoted to them during a time of need.
My son was born on August fourth during a pandemic and also on a day when all of the electricity in the neighborhood went out. You showed up on time and stayed with me. You took pictures, videos and comforted me. It felt like you were doing everything but still became time to hold me and rock with me or rub my back. When my son latched on for the first time you were able to get a picture. Perfect timing!
I hope life is not too busy and the next time I give birth you are available because my birth team would not be complete without you.
We love you Elyse and you are always in our thoughts and prayers. May God continues to bless you and allow you to touch others’ lives the way you have touched ours.
